MODERN RUSTIC BATHROOM - FALL ORC - WEEK TWO
Well that week flew by and it feels like we barely even make a dent in the plumbing. That hour with Joe at Home Depot is like a distant memory. I may have to send hubby back for a refresher before he gets back at it on the weekend.
All is not lost and despite a few hiccups here is what we managed to accomplish this week...
Our new matte black faucets from American Standard have been dry fitted and all I can say is oooohh la la. They definitely live up to their “Studio S” name which I can only guess means sleek, sexy and swanky!
My handy hubby has measured and drilled and pulled wire and all that other technical stuff that is NOT my department, on the main wall for our new vanity lights that should be arriving any day now...fingers crossed. He also swapped out our white electrical outlet and light switches to black. The perks of being married to your own personal electrician!
Three of the four walls have been painted with my most favourite shade of white, “Cotton Ball” by Behr Paint, Next up is the ceiling...and that colour is top secret for now.
Yesterday I unrolled the wallpaper for the accent wall and hope to get it hung within the next 48 hours-ish. It’s totally gorgeous, it’s from Roommates Decor and is from their Paul Brent Moroccan Tile line and I can’t wait to see it on the wall for reals.
And now back to the plumbing....it’s going down on the weekend no matter what! AND it’s the Canadian Thanksgiving this weekend. We’re having company, we have a birthday celebration and we are hosting a small dinner….there could be a turkey coma involved so wish us luck.
One more thing, does anyone have Joe’s number?
Don’t forget to heard to the One Room Challenge website to see all the amazing progress being made by my fellow DIYers!
