Women Supporting Women
Hey folks, it's a happy Saturday around here because a) we are up north and b) we have a DIY we are gonna do today, two of my most favourite things (besides coffee and ice cream)!
Before we get started later this morning I just wanted to take a moment to thank all of you who have been following my journey since it came to life earlier this year, blogging and building a following is HARD work but I'm loving every minute of it. I have met the most amazing freaking people along the way and it's your lucky day because I want to share some of them with you all. They are fellow bloggers, DIYers, moms, makers, boss babes, and just an incredible bunch of women! I'll start with these four today and PLEASE people, check them out, you won't be disappointed.
One of my very first Instagram friends was Tovah and she's a new mom from Montreal and her personality is LARGER THAN LIFE!!! Her Instagram stories never fail to crack me up since i've been in her shoes as a new mom. She is also the go to for all things baby and toddler related (which are way beyond anything that interests me, but she was so supportive and helpful to me in the beginning, starting my blog, building a following and we keep in touch, she makes me laugh everyday....oh and we have a shared love of Dairy Queen)! Please check out her blog AND her Instagram stories and tell her I said hi!
Next up is a fellow blogger and DIYer like myself, Taryn, we even live in the same area! The link to her blog "tarynitupblog" can be found here. She always has some great projects going on in her home and her kitchen reno is out of this world! I'm envious of some of her carpentry skills and think I could learn a lot from her. If you check her out, that kitchen backsplash? She did it ALL BY HERSELF! Plus if you like cute cats, she's your girl1
Oh and can I just give a HUGE shout out to my girl Kayleigh from Sterling Six Threads?? She has taught me SOOOOO much, invaluable hands on experience, answering a gazillion crazy questions and the occasional bitch session. We are connected for life!!! She has transitioned her business from amazing wood products to crazy amazing tees for your kiddos and adults, I keep telling her that her tees are making me cool again! CHECK. HER. OUT!
And last but not least, these two gals, Jane and Sonja, of Sustain My Craft Habit. They are fellow Canadian (Ontarian) bloggers, sisters, fellow DIYers, crafters and just the kindest, sweetest women you could ever meet (virtually meet...maybe I will get the pleasure of meeting them in person one day soon!)! They have followed me and been supportive from the beginning of my journey. Not only do I admire them for their grace and genuiness, they have gone above and beyond from sharing information, to sharing my account, always taking the time to comment and answer questions when they are so incredibly busy themselves! I am envious of how they make all their projects seem so effortless, seriously folks, they are giving Martha Stewart a run for her money!! You have to check them out. Their blog is amazing, their Facebook page is engaging and I LOVE their Instagram stories so much because they always keep it real!
Are you too busy to check out my friends today? That's no excuse! How about bookmarking this post and saving it for later? And as usual please leave me a comment below and let me know what you think. Everyone needs a helping hand along the way. I am working REALLY hard to reach as many people as I can through my blog, I would love it if you would continue to share my posts, my social media accounts, leave me comments and suggestions because without all of you this little dream of mine wouldn't be possible.
Ok, handy hubby is waiting for me for a change so i'm off to tackle a little DIY in our up north bathroom today, i'll share it with y'all later!
Have a good one!
Michele xo
