Vintage Rugs & Brass Accents...A Few of My Favourite Things

I remember when it felt like the Spring One Room Challenge was going to last forever and now here we are one week away from reveal day!!!

This week is all about finishing touches over here - towel bars, towel hooks, shower curtain rods and toilet paper holders, door hardware, newly spray painted cabinet hardware and...saving the best for last...Leo, a gorgeous vintage rug from Worn and Woven.

Sometimes it’s the little things that have the biggest impact. The brass shower curtain rod and hooks are so beautiful! They are from Amazon and are linked in my Amazon Shop if you’re interested....just click here! And thanks to COVID, I bought two shower curtains online before making my first post-COVID trek to Winners and finding the perfect one!

Brass shower curtain road & hooks from Amazon are the perfect finishing touches!

The towel bar, hooks and toilet paper holder were all gifted to me from our friends at Liberty Brand Hardware...they all have the vintage vibe I was looking for and finish things off beautifully.

The vanity came with chrome hardware which I spray painted this past weekend - using my old faithful steps I used to spray paint my faucet. Prime, paint, seal. And yes you can just spray paint your cabinet hardware but trust me when I say, the paint will chip and wear for everyday use. I’ve made that mistake a time or two myself. Now I know to give myself and my knobs, the time they need to be properly painted and cured. You can read all the steps here!

And of course we’ve added gorgeous Satin Brass custom door hardware from Schlage Canada. This is the same hardware we’ve on all the doors down this hallways where you’ll find our guest bathroom. It speaks to me in so many ways...vintage yet modern. Do you see it too?

Last but not least is the beautiful vintage runner from Worn and Woven. This is Leo and he blends everything together perfectly in this bathroom makeover. The rich jewel tones are stunning and the photos do not do him justice. Can y’all just come over and see him in person?

Meet “Leo” fromm Worn and Woven Vintage Rugs

Worn and Woven is your best source for one of a kind vintage rugs. Located in Toronto, but shipping worldwide, Chantelle works hard to source the best quality vintage rugs. You can be sure, no one else will have the same rug as you! And she delivered Leo right to my door which was the most perfect personal touch. Thank you Chantelle!

And that’s all I’m sharing with you for this week..snippets and sneak peeks. Come back next week and see the entire space...it’s come so far, I’m so proud of what we’ve accomplished! I am shopping my house and repurposing some things I have on hand to style this space…one of my most favourite ways to decorate!

Don’t forget to head to the One Room Challenge website and check out where everyone else is at this week...I’m literally blown away by some of the DIY talent!

See you next week for Reveals!
