New Light Fixtures, Broken Mirrors & A New Puppy - Week 5 of the ORC

I blinked and Week 5 was over!

Taking on the One Room Challenge at the same time I was turning 50, going to Nashville and getting a new puppy was either genius, because it made us work double time the first three weeks, or just plain insane, because now we have a few days left to complete EVERYTHING!

It’s all good, I’m actually totally calm, cool and caffeine-fueled!

If you’ve been following along you know we were waiting for our lighting from LivingLIGHTING Canada. I have to tell you guys that they went ABOVE AND BEYOND to get these light fixtures to me before our trip. I will forever be indebted to the Richmond Hill location not only for getting the fixtures rushed to their store, but the Store Manager personally delivered them to our friends place who in turn delivered them to my door. The best customer service EVER! And not only in getting me the lights, helping me choose the perfect fixtures.

The staff at LivingLIGHTING Richmond Hill, Ontario are THE BEST!!!

LivinGLIGHTING has such a wide variety of styles and designs, they honestly have something for everyone. In my case, I was looking for flat black (shocking I know!) and they were quickly able to provide me with photos, details and recommendations of EVERY SINGLE two light vanity fixture available in black. They have a broad selection of brand names and styles which made it very difficult to choose so having their knowledgeable staff assist me with my choices made it that much easier!

We didn’t get them installed before we left for Nashville but it was our first job we tackled as soon as we got home.

We chose these beautiful Soft Iron Fixtures by Seagull Lighting and they are absolute perfection! The quality is second to none, installation was very user friendly, even for the greenest of DIYers.

RAIN RAIN GO AWAY, YOU ARE MAKING IT VERY DIFFICULT TO TAKE BEAUTIFUL PHOTOS

I was feeling like our bathroom reno was looking too “modern” but these fixtures have added the perfect rustic touch that I was looking for.

“LivingLIGHTING, Where Solutions Come to Light”

You’ll be seeing a lot more of these gorgeous fixtures as we buckle down and spend the next week in our master bath finishing off our to do list as we head into our final wee:

- paint trim

- hang new blind

- hang towel bars, toilet roll holder, bath hooks

- all the floofing!

What do you think? Can we get it done by Monday with a 10 week old puppy in the house? Fingers crossed!!

Michele
