What is it about September and back to school that makes us want to start nesting like we’re 8 months pregnant? Anyone else relating that isn't actually pregnant like me? The day after Labour Day is the fall equivalent of purging in January around here!

Digging out the fall decorations is just the tip of the iceberg, I want to full on redecorate an entire room in my house every damn September! Please tell me i'm not the only one.

If you’ve been following me for awhile now you know I love my grays and don’t have a lot of colour pops in my house, it’s a commitment I’ve never been ready to make...until now.

You see it all started with my mini fireplace makeover earlier this year (there’s a blog post about it). I added a splash of copper in the form of Fusion Mineral Paint and LOVED it! Then I bought a few accessories in golds and coppers and it snowballed from there. And tell me what goes better with golds and coppers than NAVY BLUE? Am I right?

And right around this time that I am in full on nesting mode don’t I get the best offer ever from my friends at Wayfair to participate in their “Bloggers Picks” campaign? I was like SIGN ME UP!! I could have spent days picking all my faves on Wayfair but decided to start scrolling through their website and focus on some pretty new navy blue accent pieces that I could actually incorporate into our living room. Well before I even made it to the throw pillows I saw these sexy blue accent chairs and fell totally and completely head over heels IN LOVE. Like curl up with a good book and a blanket for an entire day kinda love, binge watch an entire season of a show on Netflix kinda love. Totally and completely committed. Then things went a little crazy after that.

I mean let’s be honest, if I had these blue accent chairs I would need a new couch and if I got a new couch it would need to be a big comfy sectional because nothing says comfort like a sectional, am I right? I am not ready to go crazy and commit to a sectional in a colour outside of my comfort zone but I can accessorize a sectional to death with my new fave colours. And speaking of a new sectional and this Bloggers Picks campaign I am working on with Wayfair, if you happen to see an item on the Wayfair website with this “Blogger Pick” badge in the top left hand corner, you should totally click it, it might be just be one of mine!

Moving right along because people I am on a ROLL!!! We have two good sized windows in our living room and I love to swap out my drapes seasonally (which is why I never spend much money on them) . I think I could totally pull off solid navy blue drapes for fall and winter with my 9 foot ceilings, they will make this cozy room even cozier. What do you think?

I also found THEEEEE perfect area rug on Wayfair...it’s pretty simple but sometimes simple makes a big statement. It's practical with dogs and teenagers. Most importantly since our house is open concept, it ties in nicely with the rest of the main floor. It's also versatile and if I got tired of it in the living room, I could use it in the entry way, dining room or one of the bedrooms. Its the type of rug that is timeless and when you invest in an area rug, you want it to last for a very long time.

Once I got started redecorating my living room I couldn't stop. I mean how could I when Wayfair makes it so damn easy with their "Project Lists"? I currently have three of them on the go! I've found a new coffee table and accents tables for the living room, a beautiful mirror and of course a clock. I feel like this list may never end!

Everything else is what I call “floofing”.....throws, pillows, lamps, pumpkins and candles. Oh and a few of my favourite “fauxtanicals” because one thing is for certain, I can decorate a room but I can’t keep a plant alive!
